This camera has a 14MP CCD sensor, an excellent 24x zoom(24-576mm equivalent on a 35mm camera), A very nice 3" LCD, Electronic Viewfinder, 720p video and ISO up to 6400(not that you really want to use it, more on that later) Ergonomics / Ease of Use: The menu system on the Finepix cameras are very nice and the buttons on the S3200 are nicely placed. It has a nice grip around the lens and it would have been nice if that could have been incorporated as a zoom ring. Image Quality: From ISO 64-200, the pictures are very sharp with excellent color. From ISO 400-800, the pictures are still sharp with nice color but signs of noise and the effects of noise reduction are noticeable if you start to pixel peep. The zoom is great for this price range. You can use the view finder or the nice sizable screen. I find the view finder much easier in centering my subjects. I enjoyed the 4-AA batteries and gives me the assurance my camera won't die without having to recharge a lithium type battery. The size is manageable. You cannot stick it in your pocket naturally but it is not really that bulky. In my limited use, the clarity of photos have been nothing short of perfect clear shots. I'm still learning all the features packed in this well priced camera and look forward to seeing what all it can really do. I'm not a big camera buff. I found the camera quite easy to use though had a little trouble in the on/off switch. So I was searching something that had the options of me setting aperture and shutter speed when and if I eventually figure out how to use that option but still gave me an option of just pointing and shooting which is what I do best. I also was looking for something in my price range. This camera fit all these and more and I gotta tell ya I'm not let down one bit. This is a great camera for those like me that wish they knew what they were doing when it comes to photography. It has many tools to help you frame that perfect picture, get the lighting right etc. I can't wait to travel more with this camera especially with the panorama mode.
